1. Your cat must be transported in a secure carrier. This will be retained by Sunrise for the duration of the stay in the event of an emergency.
2. All cats must be vaccinated against Feline Infection Enteritis (FIE) and Feline Respiratory disease (FHV & FCV). No cat will be accepted without the appropriate documentation. This must be produced on each visit and is non-negotiable.
Please note: If your cat has recently restarted their vaccination programme, their second vaccination must have been given at least 10 days before the start of their stay. If you are unsure about your cat’s vaccination status, please discuss with us at the time of booking.
3. Sunrise Cattery reserves the right to refuse admission to any cat showing signs of ill health and it is the responsibility of the owner to inform Sunrise Cattery of any pre-existing conditions. We are happy to administer certain medications for an additional fee of £1 per day. Please discuss any such requirements at the time of booking.
4. Please ensure your cat is covered by its flea and worming treatment whilst at Sunrise. Any signs of flea or worm infestation will be treated with an appropriate vet recommended product and the full cost of treatment will be charged.
5. For safety reasons, please remove your cat’s collar prior to stay.
6. If your cat should become unwell whilst in the care of Sunrise Cattery, veterinary attention will be sought from our nominated surgery, Coastline. We will endeavour to contact the owner or emergency contact to make them aware of the situation. The owner will be liable for the entire cost of treatment by the veterinary practitioner. Booking enquiries can be made by phone or email.
7. You will be given a copy of our Booking Form and Terms and Conditions. These should be completed, signed, and returned to us with a deposit of £40.00 to secure the booking.
8. On receipt of the above, a deposit receipt will be sent confirming the dates. It is the owner’s responsibility to check these are correct. The deposit will be refunded against the final invoice. If multiple dates are booked, the deposit will be carried forward and refunded against the final stay.
9. There is a minimum stay of 2 nights during the period October to March and 3 nights from April to September.
10. Please ensure you have booked the correct number of days as it is not always possible to add additional time due to high volumes of bookings.
11. All rates are inclusive of food and heating for your pet’s entire stay. We supply Whiskas wet and dry, GoCat and Felix. Any other brand or specialist food will need to be supplied by the client.
12. Fees are charged per day. This includes day of arrival and departure. No reduction to the final account will be made for pets arriving late or going home early.
13. We require 14 days' notice of cancellations. If a booking is cancelled less than 14 days before arrival, or if there is non-attendance, we reserve the right to charge the full boarding fee and retain the deposit.
14. If the duration of the booking is reduced less than 14 days before arrival, the booking fee will not be reduced. If you decide to collect your cat earlier than the original booking date, you will be charged for the dates that have been booked.
15. An invoice will be issued prior to arrival and payment must be made before the start of the booking. Payment is by bank transfer or cash. We do not have a card machine and do not accept cheques.
16. All arrivals and collections are by appointment only between the hours of 3-5pm Monday to Friday and 10am -12pm Saturdays and Sundays unless by prior arrangement. This is to ensure you and your cat have our complete attention. We kindly ask that you keep to the time given. If you expect to be delayed, please contact the cattery asap.
17. Unneutered male cats over the age of six months and pregnant cats will not be accommodated.
18. Whilst all possible care and attention will be given, we cannot be responsible for any weight loss or illness that may develop whilst you cat is in our care. Cats are boarded entirely at the owner’s risk.
19. Departures – if you will not be collecting your cat personally, please ensure Sunrise are given the details of the person who will be responsible.
20. Sunrise Cattery reserve the right to rehome any cat to the RSPCA or Cats Protection League if they are not collected within a week of their scheduled departure date, unless there has been an agreed extension of their stay. We will of course make reasonable efforts to contact the owner or nominated person.
